Job Description
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety compliance aligned with key performance indicators.
- Manage production costs, resource allocation, and timelines to meet operational targets.
- Lead capacity planning, expansion initiatives, and adoption of new technologies and automation.
- Develop and manage production budgets and investment plans in collaboration with Engineering.
- Review and enhance repair, inspection, and processing procedures following approved maintenance data.
- Ensure strict compliance with OEM manuals, regulatory standards, and internal procedures.
- Resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively while managing competing priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma practices.
- Collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, Planning, and other cross-functional teams.
- Lead, mentor, and develop teams across multiple job levels to build a highperformance culture.
- Establish required skills and training programs to ensure employees meet latest technical standards.
- Support and adhere to all Environmental Health & Safety regulations.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Production / Senior Production Manager should have:
- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in production or manufacturing management, preferably in aerospace MRO.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing teams across multiple levels.
- Strong operational leadership and decisionmaking skills under pressure.
- Knowledge of Lean Production, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proven experience implementing new or expanded automation machinery.
- Strong understanding of aircraft engine components, repair processes, and OEM documentation.
- Knowledge of NDT and inspection processes for engine component repair.
- Familiarity with surface treatment, pulse/TIG welding, metal spray, shot peening, heat treatment, and adaptive welding/milling (advantage).
- Strong problemsolving and continuous improvement capabilities.
- Effective crossdepartment communication and collaboration.
- Excellent English communication skills; Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
