The Head of PMO ensures projects are prioritized and delivered in line with corporate strategy, with effective portfolio visibility, resource optimization, and risk management. The role provides Management with timely, accurate insights for decision-making while maintaining strong governance and oversight controls. Acting as the link between project execution and leadership, the role supports Project Managers and Work Package Managers while retaining delivery accountability within project teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the overall project portfolio for Solar, BESS, and EPCC projects, including prioritization, governance, and alignment with business strategy.
- Prepare management and Board dashboards with clear updates on project status, risks, opportunities, resources, schedule, and financial exposure.
- Lead resource and capacity planning across projects, including manpower forecasting, gap analysis, and allocation recommendations.
- Manage portfolio-level risks, interdependencies, and improvement opportunities to support successful delivery.
- Establish and monitor project performance KPIs, benchmarking, and continuous improvement of PMO processes and standards.
- Support Project Managers with planning, scheduling, reporting, governance, and performance controls while maintaining delivery accountability.
- Maintain a single source of truth for project data, dashboards, action trackers, analytics and management reporting.
- Drive PMO tools, templates, systems, and best practices, including training and implementation of project management software.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related discipline; Master's Degree/MBA is an advantage.
- Minimum 15–20 years of relevant experience in large-scale infrastructure, energy, utility, or EPCC project environments, with at least 8 years in senior PMO / project leadership roles.
- Proven track record in managing or overseeing multi-project portfolios / mega projects.
- Strong experience in Solar PV, BESS, power plants, utilities, transmission, or complex industrial projects.
- Deep knowledge of project governance, portfolio management, cost control, scheduling, risk management, contracts, and stakeholder management.
- Experienced in dealing with Board, senior management, investors, government authorities, clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including project cash flow, margin protection, claims, and change management.
- Familiar with project management systems such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, ERP, and dashboard/reporting tools.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to drive accountability, challenge constructively, and influence cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and decision-making skills under high-pressure project environments.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or equivalent are an added advantage.
