Newly created role - Head of Resilience Operations Centre role in Kuala Lumpur
Your new company
You will be joining a large financial institution based in Malaysia. It provides a variety of banking and financial services to individuals and businesses, both locally and in other countries. The bank is well-known in the region and plays a significant role in the financial sector. They are currently looking for a Head of Resilience Operations Centre to join the team in Kuala Lumpur.
Your new role
- Lead end-to-end incident management, ensuring timely resolution and root cause identification.
- Design and implement robust observability solutions across diverse infrastructure (cloud, on-premise, core banking).
- Develop predictive analytics and AI/ML capabilities to anticipate and prevent operational issues.
- Own and safeguard the integrity of our production environment, enforcing change and release policies.
- Drive continuous operational improvement, embedding ITIL and SRE best practices.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to ensure operational excellence.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 10 years in banking or large scale IT Operations, Incident Management, and Production Support.
- Proven leadership experience in managing complex IT environments
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing observability, monitoring, and alerting systems (i.e. APM, SIEM, Log analytics or Cloud-native technologies) )
- Strong background in predictive analytics and applying AI/ML in an operational context.
- Deep understanding of both on-premise and cloud infrastructure management.
- Proficiency with ITIL, SRE principles, and a commitment to operational excellence.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
