  • Define and own a 35 year technology strategy across UAV, AGV, Robot autonomy software, AI/ML, SaaS, and edge-cloud systems.
  • Architect modular, scalable, and secure robotics platforms with OTA capability, fleet telemetry, diagnostics, and cloud orchestration.
  • Establish system-level reliability engineering practices, including fault tolerance, redundancy, and observability.

2. Product & Lifecycle Leadership

  • Lead the full lifecycle: Research Prototype Validation Field Deployment Certification Scaled Production.
  • Define Operational Design Domains (ODD) and safety cases for UAV and AGV deployments.
  • Institutionalise structured experimentation while enforcing production-grade engineering discipline.

3. Safety, Compliance & Regulatory

  • Oversee regulatory engagement and certification pathways (e.g., CAAM, ISO EASA, FAA or equivalent authorities).
  • Implement operational governance frameworks for fleet safety, UTM integration, and incident response.
  • Embed cybersecurity, data protection, and secure supply chain practices into product architecture.

4. Engineering & Team Leadership

  • Build and scale high-performance teams across hardware, firmware, autonomy, backend/frontend software, DevOps, and MLOps.
  • Design career ladders, succession planning, and leadership bench strength.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between R&D, Operations, and Commercial teams.

5. AI, Data & Platform Excellence

  • Establish robust data pipelines and MLOps frameworks for continuous improvement of perception, planning, and control stacks.
  • Oversee CI/CD pipelines for firmware, embedded systems, Edge Computing and cloud-native SaaS platforms. Ensure production-grade AI deployment with versioning, monitoring, and rollback capability.

6. Strategic Partnerships & Capital Allocation

  • Lead supplier and compute strategy (sensors, embedded systems, robotics compute, cloud vendors).
  • Own technology budget, capex/opex trade-offs, lab infrastructure, fleet expansion, and tooling investments.
  • Evaluate build-vs-buy decisions across hardware and software stack layers.

7. Executive & External Representation

  • Serve as technical authority in board discussions, investor due diligence, and enterprise client engagements.
  • Represent the company at regulatory forums, industry conferences, and strategic partnerships. Support pre/post-sales technical integrations and enterprise pilots.
