Job Description

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Chief Distribution Officer, the Head of Sales will be responsible for leading and strategizing action plans to drive company sales strategy and workstream to enhance productivity and achieve business sustainable growth. This leadership role requires a dynamic, results-driven individual with strong strategic, operational, and people management capabilities within the insurance industry.

The Job

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of workstream plan
  • Set clear, measurable targets and performance indicators for the sales organization
  • Responsible in achieving the business targets in workstream and achieving company sales and recruitment targets
  • Responsible to design initiatives and program particularly MAPA based projects for the field force to drive productivity, increase business persistency and improve retention of the field force
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high performing business development team for agency channel
  • Responsible to identify training and development needs of the business development team to ensure they uplift their competencies to drive workstream projects
  • Build and strengthen relationship with key field force and strategic partners
  • Oversee day to day sales operations, ensuring efficiency and effective resource allocation
  • Consistently monitor and review agency performance, analyze trends, and take corrective actions as needed
  • Responsible in driving the recruitment of new agents, new agent activation and new leaders development
  • Work closely with marketing, underwriting, operations, product development, and claims team to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives

Our requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance or a related field. Have CFP, RFP and FLMI will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 10 -15 years of progressive sales leadership experience in the insurance industry
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing agency and/or multi-channel sales teams
  • Experience in both strategic planning and operational execution
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities
  • Excellent strategic thinking, business acumen, and decision-making skills
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationships building capabilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive, and dynamic market environment
