Job Description

Position Summary

The Operation Manager/Director will oversee daily operations and ensure the effective management of local administrative functions aiming at operations excellences. This role is critical in managing human resources, finance, administration, IT, government relations, and public affairs. A key focus will be on supporting expatriate staff from Mainland China, including work visa processing and cross-cultural integration. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, decision-making ability, and a results-driven approach to enhance the performance and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partner with the Director in managing local HR, finance, administration, and IT operations.

2. Oversee government liaison, regulatory compliance, and public relations in Malaysia.

3. Facilitate smooth onboarding and ongoing support for expatriate employees from China, including work permit and visa processing.

4. Develop and implement local policies and procedures in line with company standards and Malaysian regulations.

5. Ensure effective communication and collaboration between local staff and the global team.

6. Handle crisis management and resolve operational issues proactively.

7. Prepare regular reports on site performance, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

2. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in operations management, preferably within an international company.

3. Candidates with solid experience in overall management of manufacturing center or Call Center are highly preferred

4. Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver results independently.

5. Strong understanding of Malaysian labor laws, financial regulations, and government procedures.

6. Experience in managing expatriate employees and visa-related processes is highly desirable.

7. Familiarity with both Chinese and Malaysian working cultures and practices.

8. Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin; proficiency in Malay is an advantage.
