A leading aerospace organisation in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Head of Supply Chain to lead and strengthen its endtoend supply chain operations. With a strong focus on operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and global competitiveness, the company continues to expand its capabilities through continuous innovation, robust governance, and streamlined execution across all supply chain functions.
As part of their next phase of growth, they are looking for a strategic supply chain leader who can oversee the full value chain-from sourcing, procurement, and supplier management to logistics, warehousing, inventory control, and material readiness. This role will be responsible for building a unified supply chain strategy, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring seamless material availability to support both internal operational needs and external customer requirements.
The Head of Supply Chain will play a critical role in driving performance across the organisation by optimizing cost, quality, and delivery metrics; enhancing supplier performance; reducing operational risks; and ensuring strong alignment with regional and global supply chain standards. This position will also provide leadership in developing high-performing teams, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring the organisation meets all regulatory, customer, and operational expectations.
Job Description
- Lead the full endtoend supply chain operations, including procurement, supplier management, logistics, warehousing, materials support, and inventory control.
- Develop and execute an integrated supply chain strategy aligned with financial goals, operational targets, and customer satisfaction objectives.
- Drive performance excellence by managing KPIs such as cost, quality, delivery, stock availability, backorders, OTIF/OTD, and customer service rates.
- Strengthen supplier and customer relationships, ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and effective issue resolution across all internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance and governance across all supply chain activities, including export control regulations, trade requirements, customs, and internal financial controls.
- Optimize logistics and material flow, ensuring efficient inbound/outbound operations, accurate forecasting, and seamless support for internal operational needs.
- Lead and develop highperforming teams, fostering alignment, capability building, and continuous improvement across procurement, logistics, and materials functions.
- Manage departmental budgets and costreduction initiatives, ensuring strong financial discipline across material spending, freight, warehousing, and inventory holding costs.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field, with strong foundational knowledge in endtoend supply chain management.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, logistics, warehousing, and materials management, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong leadership, decisionmaking, and analytical capabilities, with proven ability to manage complex supply chain operations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholdermanagement skills, able to engage confidently with suppliers, internal teams, and regional/global counterparts.
- Highly organized, systematic, and able to lead crossfunctional teams, driving operational discipline and continuous improvement.
- Strong proficiency in enterprise systems (e.g., SAP) and productivity tools such as Microsoft Office / Google Suite.
- Ability to work independently, handle confidential information, and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Experience in the aviation or MRO industry is highly desirable, with familiarity in export control, trade compliance, and global supply chain standards.
