The Head of Supply Chain is a senior leadership position responsible for shaping and executing the end-to-end supply chain strategy, driving operational performance, and leading transformation initiatives across Malaysia.
The role provides overall leadership for the country's supply chain operations, encompassing organizational capability, manufacturing, logistics, infrastructure, systems, processes, and customer service, while ensuring alignment with local business priorities and regional/global supply chain strategies
.
The position leads a complex supply chain network comprising manufacturing facilities, warehouses, distribution operations, internal cross-functional teams, and third-party logistics and service providers, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations while delivering sustainable business performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end value chain, ensuring seamless integration, cross-functional collaboration, and operational excellence from sourcing through customer delivery.
- Ensure supply chain operations are safe, compliant, resilient, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the entire supply chain across Malaysia, encompassing: Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE), Regulatory Affairs, Procurement, Demand & Supply Planning, Inbound Logistics, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Outbound Logistics & Distribution, Customer Service
- Develop and execute the Malaysia Supply Chain strategy in alignment with country, regional, and global business priorities.
- Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, including network optimization, digitalization, automation, and operating model enhancemens.
- Continuously assess and optimize the manufacturing and distribution footprint, including make-versus-buy and in-house versus outsourced strategies, to improve agility, efficiency, and scalability.
- Champion a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the supply chain.
- Own the overall performance of the supply chain, delivering results across key operational and financial metricsE
- stablish robust governance, performance management, and reporting mechanisms to drive accountability, informed decision-making, and sustainable business outcomes.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline; an MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in supply chain leadership, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end supply chain operations within a complex, multinational environment.
- Broad functional expertise across key supply chain disciplines, including planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, customer service, and supply chain excellence.
- Demonstrated experience leading distribution networks and multi-site supply chain operations, with responsibility for optimizing service, cost, and operational performance
- Experience within the specialty chemicals, ingredients, life sciences, industrial manufacturing, or related sectors is highly preferred.
- Proven success in driving large-scale transformation, continuous improvement, digitalization, and organizational change initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing complex supplier, logistics, customer, and external partner ecosystems.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to lead effectively in a matrixed regional and global organization.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and performance management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and/or other regional languages would be an advantage.
