About the Role
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the entire talent lifecycle, from acquisition and development to engagement and retention. The Head of Talent Management will serve as a strategic partner to business and functional leaders, ensuring that the organisation has the right people, capabilities, and leadership pipelines to achieve its business objectives.
In this capacity, you will lead key initiatives across talent development, performance management, succession planning, and HR digital transformation. You will be instrumental in shaping the employee experience and building a future-ready workforce by leveraging data-driven insights and innovative HR technologies.
Job Description
1. Talent Development
- Develop and implement the company's comprehensive learning and development strategy to close capability gaps.
- Design and execute practical learning journeys for employees and leaders, partnering with external training providers where necessary.
- Maximise available HRD Corp funding and measure the effectiveness and business impact of all learning programmes.
2. Performance, Leadership and Organisational Development
- Lead the continuous improvement of the performance management framework, working with leaders to enhance leadership effectiveness.
- Develop and implement robust succession planning and talent review processes to strengthen the leadership pipeline.
- Provide expert guidance and coaching to leaders on all people and talent-related matters.
3. Talent Acquisition
- Oversee the Talent Acquisition team to ensure the successful delivery of recruitment plans and hiring KPIs.
- Provide hands-on support for hiring mid to senior-level positions, ensuring cultural and business alignment.
- Strengthen the company's Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and support employer branding activities in partnership with the Branding and Strategic Marketing teams.
4. Talent Experience
- Drive initiatives to improve employee engagement and create a positive end-to-end employee experience.
- Champion the adoption of core values across the organisation and review employee survey findings to recommend actionable improvements.
- Enhance the employee journey, focusing on onboarding, career development, and internal communications.
5. HR Digital Transformation & People Analytics
- Develop and drive the HR digital transformation roadmap to improve productivity, employee experience, and business outcomes.
- Lead the implementation and enhancement of HR systems, digital platforms, AI solutions, and process automation initiatives.
- Develop HR dashboards and people analytics to support data-driven workforce planning and decision-making, ensuring robust data governance.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in talent management, learning and development, recruitment, employee engagement, or organisational development.
- Minimum 4–5 years of people management experience for a Senior Manager level.
- Minimum 6+ years of people management experience for a Deputy General Manager level.
- The candidate should have led the HR function in at least 1–2 companies with a workforce of approximately 700–1,500 employees.
- Strong understanding of talent management, recruitment, employee engagement, succession planning, and leadership development practices.
- Proven ability to partner and influence senior stakeholders and business leaders.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Core Competencies: Strategic thinking, change management, business partnering, digital & AI mindset, HR technology & transformation, data analytics & insights, and process improvement.
