Job Description

Responsible for implementing Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, audits, training, communications, and educational initiatives to promote workplace safety awareness and ensure compliance with Kellogg standards and government regulations. The role also provides functional guidance and technical expertise in collaboration with the Plant EHS Manager, while being accountable for daily directive setting, communities of practice, and the EHS Kellogg Work System. In addition, it oversees governance of security contractor activities to ensure the site security program effectively meets organizational requirements.

A Taste of What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver timely and effective Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives, policies, and training programs to proactively address workplace safety (including security-related issues where applicable) and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and company safety standards and procedures.
  • Work in accordance with the Kellogg Work System (KWS), demonstrating full accountability for assigned responsibilities and a thorough understanding of its processes. Review progress on a weekly and monthly basis with the Plant EHS Manager and implement necessary improvements as required.
  • Support the Plant EHS Head of Department in preparing, maintaining, and submitting required records and reports to both the Company and regulatory authorities, including performing trend analysis where applicable.
  • Collaborate with Engineering during the planning and execution of engineering works, maintenance activities, and new technology implementations to ensure appropriate safety safeguards are integrated in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with relevant government authorities to ensure full compliance at the Enstek plant, including planning and governing all EHS regulatory assessments.
  • Conduct data analysis, identify trends, and develop action plans to support continuous improvement in safety performance.
  • Participate actively in Safety Committees and other relevant forums or processes related to workplace safety.
  • Promote leading safety indicators and collaborate with cross-functional teams to recommend and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop, facilitate, and maintain an effective Emergency Response Team to ensure readiness and effective response during emergency situations.
  • Administer the safety budget by planning, monitoring, and controlling expenditures to ensure cost-effective delivery within approved budgets, including tracking PPE purchases and authorizing supplier payments.
  • Regularly review hazard risk levels with the Plant EHS Manager, prepare relevant reports, and update safety scoreboards for daily management meetings.
  • Conduct audits and governance of equipment, machinery, and safety inspection programs to ensure compliance and operational safety standards.
  • Liaise with the in-house clinic on matters related to employee health and wellbeing.
  • Support the execution of relevant projects within the assigned area or shift.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of plant processes and interdependencies, identifying and escalating risks or improvement opportunities that may impact plant performance.
  • Drive and uphold company K-Values in daily activities.
  • Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
