Position : Executive, OSH

Reporting : Manager, OSH & Sustainability

Responsibilities:

To ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations and company policies, conducting safety inspections and risk assessments, investigating accidents and incidents, coordinating safety training and awareness programs, and maintaining safety records while promoting a safe and healthy working culture across the company.

Job Description:

  • To plan, implement, monitor, and review the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) management system to ensure a safe and healthy work environment acrossPerak Corp and its subsidiaries.
  • To develop, implement, and maintain OSH policies, procedures, guidelines, and standard operating procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • To ensure effective OSH governance by supporting management in establishing clear roles, responsibilities,and accountability for safety and health matters.
  • To maintain and manage essential OSH documentation, records, and reports to demonstrate compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • To conduct workplace safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and site visits to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend control measures.
  • To ensure Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) processes are implemented, reviewed, and updated in accordance with legal requirements.
  • To provide OSH training, awareness programs, and advisoryservices, including identifying training needs for employees and relevant stakeholders.
  • To monitor, analyze, and report OSH performance indicators, statistics, and trends for continuous improvement.
  • To investigate workplaceaccidents, near-misses, dangerousoccurrences, occupational poisoning, and occupational diseases, and prepare investigation reports with corrective and preventive actions.
  • To coordinate the reporting and escalation of OSH incidents to top management and relevant authorities, including the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), in compliance with statutory notification requirements.
  • To support operational teams during OSH audits, inspections, and engagements with regulatory authorities.
  • To track and ensure timely closure of OSH non-compliance issues and recommend practical solutions to enhance workplace safety performance.

Requirements:

  • Good verbal and written command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task; strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong time management and project/case management skills;
  • Excellent drafting, analysisand research skills;
  • Degree in Safety and Health/ Engineering/ Management/ Occupational Health or an equivalent qualification;
  • Certified Safety and Health Officer(SHO) registered with the Department Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevantworking experience in the occupational safety & health field.
