Job Description
The HVAC Engineer (Electrical) is responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving the company's physical infrastructure. This includes ensuring that building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing are safe, efficient, and compliant with applicable regulations. The role also involves overseeing projects, managing vendors, budgets, and contractors to ensure smooth facility operations, upgrades, and repairs within a battery cell manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations & Maintenance: Manage routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Project Management: Oversee facility upgrades, renovations, construction works, and new installations, ensuring projects are completed according to approved plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental regulations, and applicable building codes at all times.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Coordinate and manage external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and project-related activities.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage operational and maintenance budgets to support efficient facility operations.
- Reporting & Analysis: Monitor facility performance, analyze resource utilization, and prepare reports on facility operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, sustainability, and technology integration.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in facility operation, maintenance, or improvement (manufacturing background preferred).
- Familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and FMCS software.
- Bright personality with strong ability to work under pressure and self-motivated.
- Experience in a lithium battery manufacturing plant is preferred.
- Exposure to electrical systems or an electrical engineering background is required.
