Job Summary

The Cloud Architect will be a key member of our technology team, responsible for designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud solutions. The Cloud Architect plays a crucial role in the development and execution of our cloud strategy, ensuring the seamless integration of cloud technologies to enhance the efficiency and security of our digital banking services.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Strategy

: Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with the overall technology and business objectives of the digital bank. Architecture Design

: Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and secure cloud infrastructure to support digital banking applications and services. Cloud Services Management:

Evaluate and recommend cloud services, platforms, and tools to optimize performance, cost, and security.

Oversee the selection and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for automated infrastructure provisioning. Security and Compliance:

Ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments, implementing best practices for data protection, encryption, and access control.

Collaborate with the security team to conduct regular security assessments and audits. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system administrators, and network engineers, to integrate cloud services seamlessly into the digital banking ecosystem. Performance Optimization:

Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, addressing issues related to latency, scalability, and resource utilization. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

Design and implement robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud-based systems. Conduct regular testing and drills to ensure the effectiveness of recovery processes. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

10+ years hands-on experience in Azure cloud, in architecture, operations, or engineering roles.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification required

Strong expertise in core Azure services, including Compute, Networking, Storage, Azure Files, Azure API Management, Azure SQL, Azure Key Vault, Private Link, Private Endpoints, and secure Virtual Network (VNet) design

Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including hybrid networking, network security, VPN, private connectivity, and firewalls

Experience with Azure cost optimisation and financial management of cloud resources

Demonstrated ability to design, build, and optimise Azure cloud solutions

Experience contributing to or developing cloud strategy and cloud operating models

Prior experience working in regulated industries such as banking or financial services is an advantage Excellent skills in producing clear architecture documentation and enforcing architecture standards

Strong knowledge of cloud security, governance, identity management, and regulatory compliance (Bank Negara Malaysia RMiT experience is an advantage)

Familiar with DevOps pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep, ARM, Terraform)

Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and functions

Agile mindset with leadership qualities and a proactive problem-solving approach
