As part of this expansion, KiN is entering the Malaysia market with the development and management of a 5-star hotel located in the Petronas Twin Towers precinct — moving into a larger-scale, full-service luxury hospitality. The company is building out its local team to support this next phase of development and operations in the region.
This is a leadership opportunity to operate and manage a high-profile 5 star hotel, in Kuala Lumpur's most iconic locations.
Position Overview
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the hotel, ensuring a seamless living experience for guests while maintaining high standards in service and operational excellence. This role leads the on-site team, manages day-to-day operations, and ensures that the brand delivers a welcoming, well-managed, and vibrant residential environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of KiN Living, including front desk, housekeeping, engineering, maintenance, F&B, and guest services.
- Ensure seamless coordination across all operational teams to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
- Maintain the property to 5-star standards, ensuring cleanliness, maintenance and presentation at all times.
Guest Experience - guest experience full suite of hotel stay in accordance to the hotel brand.
- Ensure a seamless and memorable guest experience across the full suite of hotel services, in alignment with the hotel brand's standards and values.
- Deliver a welcoming and supportive living environment for all guest
- Handle guest feedback, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure guests feel engaged, comfortable, and well-supported during their stay.
Team Leadership
- Work closely with the CEO to shape and nurture the company culture, lead and inspire the hotel management team, and build a high-performing, collaborative workforce aligned with the brand's values.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the on-site operations team.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure service excellence.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment for staff.
Compliance & Property Standards
- Ensure compliance with operational, workplace safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor property conditions and coordinate maintenance and improvement works when required.
- Uphold KiN Hotel's brand standards across all operational areas.
- Ensure smooth hotel operations by maintaining strong relationships with relevant external stakeholders and regulatory authorities. Oversee adherence to all legal, safety, and operational standards, while safeguarding the hotel's reputation and service excellence.
Financial
- Develop and manage annual budgets and operational forecasts.
- Monitor P&L, control costs, and implement measures to optimize revenue and profitability.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend strategic adjustments to achieve business targets.
- Work closely with CEO, DOS, marketing on hotel revenue hit target. on pricing, yield management, and commercial strategy.
Requirements
- Minimum 6–8 years of experience in hospitality, serviced residence, co-living, or property operations.
- At least 3 years of leadership or management experience.
- Strong operational and team management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for hospitality, community building, and resident experience.
- Ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
