HR & Admin Manager

Working Days / Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30AM - 05:30PM Saturday 08:30AM - 01:00PM [5.5 working days]

Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a hands-on and result-driven HR & Admin Manager to lead the full spectrum of HR and administrative functions. This role is critical in strengthening workforce discipline, driving performance accountability, ensuring operational continuity, and supporting business growth through effective people management. The ideal candidate is comfortable working both at the office and on the ground, managing a workforce that includes drivers, mechanics, and operational staff.

1. Lead end-to-end recruitment for drivers, mechanics, and operational staff.
2. Develop alternative hiring channels (referrals, walk-ins, partnerships, agencies) to ensure steady manpower supply.
3. Manage onboarding process including documentation, orientation, and deployment.
4. Monitor manpower planning to ensure sufficient driver availability to support operations.
5. Handle disciplinary matters including absenteeism, misconduct, and performance issues.
6. Conduct domestic inquiries and issue warning, suspension, and termination letters.
7. Provide counselling and engagement for drivers and operational staff.
8. Work closely with line managers to address behavioral and performance gaps.
9. Drive enforcement of company policies and improve overall workforce discipline.

Requirements

1. Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Minimum 5-8 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or manufacturing.
3. Strong experience managing blue-collar workforce (drivers, technicians, etc.)
4. Proven experience in implementing performance management systems and handling underperformance cases.
5. Solid knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act and industrial relations practices.
6. Hands-on, firm, and able to enforce discipline while maintaining effective employee relations.
7. Comfortable working on the ground in a fast-paced operational environment.
8. Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving ability, and able to drive initiatives and ensure follow-through.
9. Resilient and able to handle operational pressures.
