Your Role in VT Markets
As the HR Data and Data Specialist reporting to the Organizational Development Manager, you will be the architect of VT Markets AI-empowered HR infrastructure and data intelligence capabilities. Based in Kuala Lumpur with global impact across 7 regions, you will build and optimize HR technology systems, develop data analytics capabilities, and pioneer AI-agent solutions that transform HR productivity as the organization scales from 500 to 800 employees. Working closely with the HR COE team, regional HRBPs and IT you will establish the technical foundation enabling data-driven people decisions, automated HR workflows, and self-service knowledge systemsdirectly supporting VT Markets transformation into an AI-empowered organization where HR operates as a strategic, high-efficiency function delivering measurable business impact.

Job Requirements

What Makes You a Great Fit
Job Experience & Education

  • 4-6 years of progressive experience in HR technology, people analytics, or HRIS implementation with demonstrated coding/development capabilities in HR tech or data engineering environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or related technical field; HR background is a plus but not required.
  • Proven track record implementing HR systems, building data analytics solutions, or developing automation tools in multinational or fast-growth organizations with measurable productivity impact.
Technical and Functional Skills
  • Strong programming proficiency in Python (required) with experience in data manipulation libraries, API integration, and automation scripting; SQL expertise for database queries and data extraction.
  • Hands-on experience with HR Systems (Workday, HiBob, Greenhouse or similar); experience with collaboration platforms like Lark is valuable.
  • Demonstrated capability in data visualization and analytics using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools; experience building HR dashboards, people analytics models, and predictive workforce insights.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in HR contexts (LLMs, chatbots, automation agents) is highly valued.
Soft Skills
  • Strong business acumen with ability to translate HR challenges into technical solutions and communicate technical concepts to non-technical HR stakeholders using clear, jargon-free language.
  • Exceptional problem-solving orientation with curiosity to explore new technologies, willingness to experiment with AI tools, and resilience to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
  • High ownership mentality and self-directed work approach with ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously, prioritize based on business impact, and deliver quality solutions with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities

HR Tech Stack Management

  • Own end-to-end administration and optimization of VT Markets HR technology ecosystem (HiBob HRIS, ATS, Lark integrations) including system configuration, workflow automation, data integrity audits, and integration with IT, payroll, finance, and business intelligence systems ensuring seamless cross-platform functionality.
  • Lead HR tech enhancement projects from requirements gathering through implementation including vendor coordination, system testing, change management, user training, and documentation enabling HR team self-sufficiency globally.
  • Serve as technical escalation point for HR systems issues to implement fixes while maintaining 95%+ system uptime and data accuracy.
People Business Intelligence
  • Design and build HR analytics infrastructure using Power BI including data pipelines, automated reporting systems, and executive dashboards covering workforce metrics enabling real-time visibility and data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct advanced people analytics and big data analysis projects including predictive attrition modeling, performance-business outcome correlation analysis, compensation benchmarking, workforce planning scenarios, and large-scale talent pipeline analytics partnering, with Finance and Business Intelligence teams to establish integrated people-financial reporting and ROI measurement.
HR Knowledge Base & Self-Service Infrastructure
  • Design and implement centralized HR knowledge management system consolidating legacy policies with optimized taxonomy and search functionality enabling employee and manager self-service while reducing HRBP administrative burden.
  • Build automation workflows for routine HR processes (leave management, document requests, onboarding checklists) leveraging HRIS capabilities, Lark integrations, and automation tools to reduce manual HR work and improve employee experience.
  • Measure and optimize knowledge base effectiveness through usage analytics, search pattern analysis, user feedback, and content gap identification ensuring continuous improvement and high findability.
HR AI-Agent Development & Automation
  • Pioneer HR AI-agentic solutions to delivery productivity gains including conversational chatbots for employee queries, automated document processing (resume parsing, contract generation), intelligent workflow routing, and AI-assisted decision support tools leveraging LLM technologies.
  • Design and implement AI-powered HR capabilities with established governance framework covering prompt engineering standards, data security protocols, quality assurance, and ROI measurement.
  • Partner with AI transformation Head to enable HR team AI capability building through training, use case identification, tool evaluation, and change management supporting organization-wide AI adoption and responsible AI deployment.

  • HR Technology Excellence: Achieve 95%+ HRIS/ATS system uptime and data accuracy with measurable reduction in system-related tickets and HR administrative time, supported by optimized workflows and comprehensive user enablement ensuring seamless technology experience across all regions.
  • Data-Driven HR Transformation: Deliver executive-ready people analytics and dashboards enabling strategic workforce decisions, with demonstrated adoption by HR leadership and business stakeholders evidenced by regular data requests, insights-driven initiatives, and measurable improvements in people efficiency metrics.
  • AI-Empowered HR Operations: Successfully deploy 3+ HR AI agents or automation solutions delivering quantifiable productivity gains (time savings, error reduction, employee satisfaction improvement) with clear ROI documentation and scalable implementation framework supporting continued AI expansion.
