HR Legal Specialist

• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment and labour laws (Employment Act, IR Act, EPF, SOCSO).
• Experience in providing practical legal advisory for HR and IR matters.
• Hands-on experience in disciplinary processes, grievance handling, and dispute management.
• Skills in reviewing and ensuring legal defensibility of PIP, termination, and disciplinary actions.
• Experience in managing employment disputes, including liaison with external counsel and regulatory bodies.
• Ability to draft and review employment-related contracts and documentation with high accuracy.
• Strong capability in identifying legal risks and recommending practical mitigation strategies.
• Experience in handling regulatory engagement (IRD, Labour Office, Industrial Court).
• Ability to standardise documentation and improve governance across HR practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent qualification.
• Admission to the Malaysian Bar is an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in employment law, industrial relations, or legal advisory.
• Strong understanding of Malaysian employment and labour laws and their practical application.
• Competency in managing disciplinary processes, domestic inquiries, and employment disputes.
• Familiarity with regulatory processes involving IRD, Labour Office, EPF, SOCSO, and Industrial Court.
• Strong drafting and documentation skills for employment-related contracts and letters.
• Good stakeholder management and ability to engage with internal teams and external authorities.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proactive, independent, and able to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice.
