A Brief Overview
Serves as a people partner to line management and employees to provide service and support in a variety of HR functions, with an emphasis in employee engagement, performance management, employee relations, management training and organizational development, compensation and benefits administration, and rewards and recognition. Ensures department alignment and coordination with all other areas of the company to achieve corporate business goals.
What You Will Do
- Participate in the development, and implement a variety of key human resource functions, programs, policies and/or activities.
- Support line managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the function/business strategy
- Support business managers, to execute the strategies that enhance associate morale, lower turnover, meet financial needs of RGA.
- Coordinate and deliver appropriate manager and associate training initiatives.
- Support business managers in providing associates with development opportunities and ensure that they are able to meet current and future performance standards.
- Participate and support talent and workforce planning discussions and business reorganizations
- Collaborates with other members of the Human Resources to ensure alignment across geographies and functions.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on all phases of the recruiting cycle..
- Support business strategy discussions using appropriate organizational tools, i.e. SWOT, GRPI, RACI, New Manager Assimilation.
- Administer and support the annual Performance Management and Compensation Process for the assigned client groups.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent related work experience.
- Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) in Human Resources, MBA and/or SPHR certification is an added advantage.
- 5+ Years human resources experience working in a MNC work environment having Matrix reporting structures.
- Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline, and broad business practices. Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work and broadens capabilities.
- Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents.
- Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies.
- Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
- Intermediate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
- Intermediate presentation and training skills and ability to create strong, effective PowerPoint presentations.
- Ability to analyze and improve business processes.
- Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines.
- Intermediate skills in consulting on HR practices, recruiting/talent acquisition, associate relations, and employment laws. In addition to leading and consulting, the individual must have hands-on skills.
