Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
- Manage complex employee relations cases, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
- Lead disciplinary processes, investigations, and workforce restructuring activities with strong governance.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risk and ensure adherence to local labor laws (Malaysia focus).
- HR Operations, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with Malaysia labour laws and statutory requirements, including audits and regulatory reporting.
- Oversee HR processes including compensation planning, benefits, payroll collaboration, and policy governance.
- Maintain strong internal controls and risk management standards across HR operations.
- Change Management & Transformation
- Lead HR related transformation initiatives (e.g., M&A integration, restructuring, digital HR).
- Support change management programs to ensure workforce readiness and adoption.
- Promote a culture of agility, continuous learning, and innovation.
- Stakeholder & Regional Collaboration
- Collaborate with regional and global HR teams to align policies, frameworks, and talent programs.
- Drive cross-country initiatives and best practice sharing across APAC.
- Engage with external stakeholders (government agencies, industry bodies, vendors) where relevant.
- HR Reporting and Dashboard
- Monitor HR metrics and provide insights for leadership decision-making.
- Develop and manage HR reporting and dashboards to provide accurate, data-driven insights that support strategic business and talent decisions.
- Strategic HR Advisor
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, driving HR strategies aligned with business transformation and growth.
- Translate business priorities into actionable HR initiatives to enable productivity, innovation, and scalability.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 8–12 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an MNC environment.
- Strong experience in HR operations including Employee Relations, talent management and employee life cycle.
- Proven track record in strategic HR leadership and business partnering.
- Strong understanding of Malaysia labour law and industrial relations practices.
