Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
  • Manage complex employee relations cases, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
  • Lead disciplinary processes, investigations, and workforce restructuring activities with strong governance.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risk and ensure adherence to local labor laws (Malaysia focus).
  • HR Operations, Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysia labour laws and statutory requirements, including audits and regulatory reporting.
  • Oversee HR processes including compensation planning, benefits, payroll collaboration, and policy governance.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and risk management standards across HR operations.
  • Change Management & Transformation
  • Lead HR related transformation initiatives (e.g., M&A integration, restructuring, digital HR).
  • Support change management programs to ensure workforce readiness and adoption.
  • Promote a culture of agility, continuous learning, and innovation.
  • Stakeholder & Regional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with regional and global HR teams to align policies, frameworks, and talent programs.
  • Drive cross-country initiatives and best practice sharing across APAC.
  • Engage with external stakeholders (government agencies, industry bodies, vendors) where relevant.
  • HR Reporting and Dashboard
  • Monitor HR metrics and provide insights for leadership decision-making.
  • Develop and manage HR reporting and dashboards to provide accurate, data-driven insights that support strategic business and talent decisions.
  • Strategic HR Advisor
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, driving HR strategies aligned with business transformation and growth.
  • Translate business priorities into actionable HR initiatives to enable productivity, innovation, and scalability.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an MNC environment.
  • Strong experience in HR operations including Employee Relations, talent management and employee life cycle.
  • Proven track record in strategic HR leadership and business partnering.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysia labour law and industrial relations practices.
