Ansell is looking for HR Specialist (IR/ER) to be based in Seremban, Malaysia. This position is responsible for supporting and reporting directly to the Manager, Human Resources, in managing the full spectrum of recruitment activities, including both local and foreign recruitment, as well as onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee lifecycle experience. The incumbent also serves as the focal point for Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) matters, providing guidance on disciplinary actions, grievance handling, and ensuring compliance with applicable labour laws and company policies. This role works closely with stakeholders to promote fair, consistent, and effective HR practices while supporting business objectives.

What your role will be in details
Recruitment
- Drive a smooth end-to-end recruitment process which covers sourcing, preliminary screening, interview scheduling and coordination, offers and negotiation, reference check, on-boarding and induction/orientation.
- Understand the requirement of each job well and conduct an efficient sourcing or talent attraction via multiple recruitment channels or networks. Ensure the sourcing of the talent pool meets the minimum requirements set by Hiring Manager.
- Maintain a working knowledge of local laws and regulations impacting employment practices and internal employment policies/procedures, with responsibility to maintain compliance requirements within the Talent Acquisition process.
- Coordinate & follow up on the overall recruitment process to meet company business strategy and manpower requirements.
- Monitor and follow up on employee confirmation and performance evaluation/ appraisal.
- Carry out the overall offboarding process. This includes processing the resignation, conduct exit interview and analyzing the offboarding exit interview feedback
Industrial & Employee Relations and Performance Management
- Manage and handle disciplinary issues, employee grievances, labour disputes, and conduct Domestic Inquiry and counselling.
- Conduct the investigation process, coordinate and gathering of evidence for the purpose of Domestic Inquiry.
- Compile and update all document related to IR matter to ensure necessary actions are taken on a timely manner.
- Ensures documentation and maintenance of records and filing system for proper recording and ease of retrieval.
- Develop, review, and implement Human Resources policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure alignment with the Industrial Relations and employment law.
Others
- Ensure compliance to social compliance initiatives and practices pertaining to ethical labor policies & procedures.
- Support the various HR Administrative functions/tasks such as PERKESO claims, personnel files upkeep, payroll support, medical insurance claims, liaison with relevant authorities (JTK, JPP, PERKESO Manpower, etc), and others.
- Identify areas for improvement on daily operational processes and provide support to implement improvement, work reduction and task simplification initiatives by highlighting and discussing key changes / improvement with HR Manager
- Undertake / participate in any ad hoc projects or other relevant duties as assigned from time to time.
Other ad-hoc duties may be assigned when necessary
What will you bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Development, Business Management, Psychology (HR) or related field.
- Experience in HR generalist / recruitment position
- Very good understanding of full HR spectrum.
- Good knowledge in Employment related laws.
- Well versed in MS Office applications – i.e. Ms Word, Ms Excel and Ms PowerPoint.
- Excellent & strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Good negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills and ability to identify, drive and resolve issues across different departments/divisions effectively.
