Safety & Health Officer (HSSE) Green Book Holder
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Safety & Health Officer (SHO) to join our HSSE team.
In this role, you will champion workplace safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and support our organization's ESG and ISO commitments within a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and fostering a strong safety culture across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, EQA 1974, and all DOSH/DOE regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, HIRARC assessments, internal audits, and coordinate CHRA activities.
- Lead comprehensive investigations of incidents and accidents, ensuring proper documentation, root-cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Prepare, analyze, and present health & safety performance reports for Group-level management.
- Oversee Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes, contractor safety management, and overall HSSE documentation control.
- Lead, plan, and facilitate training for the Emergency Response Team (ERT), Safety Committee, and all employees, including the execution of emergency drills.
- Develop and deliver HSSE, ISO, and ESG-related training programmes for employees at all levels.
- Support the implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 management systems and other sustainability initiatives.
- Drive safety campaigns, awareness programmes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the HR department on disciplinary enforcement related to safety non-compliance and behavioural issues.
Requirements
- Green Book Holder Registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH (JKKP).
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 35 years of HSSE experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of OSHA, FMA, EQA, and DOSH/DOE regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in HIRARC, PTW, CHRA, and noise/chemical safety practices.
- Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and incident investigation skills.
