Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement procurement & sourcing strategies focused on optimizing costs, quality, delivery, and reliability of suppliers for an assigned category or group of categories. Working collaboratively with Bids/Proposal & Technical team, you will also have overall responsibility of managing the tendering process of large scale projects in compliance to the company integrity and contractual obligations. The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Process Automation Hub Asia Energy Industries E-House Business. The role is to be based in Petaling Jaya or Johor Bahru, Malaysia. You will be mainly accountable for: . Managing tendering activities and evaluation of vendor proposals for large scale E-House projects. . Implementing effective sourcing strategies to ensure suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. . Analyzing procurement activities covering total cost of ownership and identifying opportunities to improve cost modeling and reliability of supply base through external market intelligence benchmarking. . Building senior level relationships with strategic suppliers through objective engagement and performance reviews. . Ensuring early involvement in the project tendering stage and contributing positively towards the success of the project bid. . Defining and establishing standard agreements in purchase contracts /terms and conditions in line with company directives and guidelines identify and mitigate risks associated to contract management. . Reporting and tracking of cost budgets, spend and savings forecasts, including presentation of supplier positioning and risks to senior management.

Qualifications for the role

  • Degree in an engineering discipline with strong technical and analytical understanding.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project sourcing/tendering, procurement and supply chain.
  • Experience in large EPC projects, covering electrical, structural and automation scope in Asian Countries.
  • Strong understanding of commodity/business relevant supply markets, preferably in E-House business.
  • Proven ability to manage complex tenders and contracts with attention to detail and strategic mindset.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills with proactive engagement with various stakeholders.
