Job Description

Job Title: HR & Admin Manager (Government Liaison) – Malaysia

Location: Malaysia

Department: Human Resources & Administration

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced HR professional to manage end-to-end HR operations in Malaysia, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and coordination with local government authorities. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Malaysian labor regulations and the ability to independently manage local HR and administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & HR Operations

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for local positions across functions
  • Coordinate interview scheduling, offer rollout, onboarding, and employee documentation
  • Maintain employee records, attendance, leave management, and HR documentation
  • Support payroll coordination and employee lifecycle management

Government Liaison & Compliance

  • Liaise with Malaysian government authorities and regulatory bodies for employment-related matters
  • Handle statutory and labor compliance requirements including documentation and renewals
  • Coordinate work permit, visa, and employee-related government processes where applicable
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws and company policies

Employee Relations

  • Handle employee grievances and workplace concerns professionally
  • Support employee engagement and communication initiatives
  • Ensure smooth resolution of HR operational issues and disciplinary matters

Administration

  • Support office administration and vendor coordination activities
  • Coordinate with local agencies, consultants, and external partners when required
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day office and HR operations

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • 5–8 years of HR & Admin experience in Malaysia
  • Strong exposure to recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations
  • Experience working with Malaysian government authorities and statutory compliance
  • Good understanding of Malaysian Employment Act and labor practices
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Industries

Hospitality, Retail, Logistics, FMCG, Operations, Manufacturing, or Startup ecosystem.
