The Human Resources Executive is responsible for delivering an outstanding candidate experience from recruitment through onboarding. The role focuses on sourcing talent, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, negotiating compensation packages within approved guidelines, preparing employment offers, and ensuring new employees are successfully integrated into our client needs. The position plays a key role in supporting the rapid growth of the Pasir Gudang, Johor greenfield plant.
Position : Human Resource Executive
Status : Contract 6 Months under PERSOL (Can be converted after 6 months
upon client's decision)
Location : Tanjung Langsat Pasir Gudang
Background : Manufacturer of Highly integrated Chemical Solutions (China Based)
Working Days : Monday – Friday
Working Hours : 8.30AM – 5.30PM
Salary : RM5000 – RM6000
Entitlements : EPF, Socso & EIS, Annual Leave, Medical Leave, Hospitalization Leave
Public Holiday based on client.
Requirement:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline.
2. 3–6 years of recruitment or HR Generalist experience, preferably in manufacturing or
chemicals or in any heavy industries.
3. Experience negotiating compensation offers and coordinating onboarding.
4. Experience in a new plant set up would be added as advantage.
5. Excellent interviewing and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong negotiation and influencing ability.
7. High attention to detail and organization.
8. Fluent English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin as an added advantage.
9. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Talent Acquisition
• Manage full-cycle recruitment for production, technical, engineering and professional
positions.
• Develop candidate pipelines through job boards, recruitment agencies, universities and
employee referrals.
• Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews and prepare candidate assessments.
• Coordinate interview schedules with hiring managers.
• Maintain recruitment KPIs including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire and candidate quality.
2. Offer Management & Pay Negotiation
• Benchmark salary expectations against approved compensation ranges.
• Conduct salary discussions and negotiate employment offers within delegated authority.
• Prepare offer letters and employment contracts.
• Partner with the HR Manager on exceptions to compensation guidelines.
3. Onboarding & Employee Integration
• Coordinate all pre-employment documentation.
• Manage medical examinations, background checks and onboarding paperwork.
• Plan and deliver new employee orientation.
• Coordinate onboarding with EHS, IT, Operations and departmental managers.
• Monitor probation milestones and support successful employee integration.
4. HR Administration & Compliance
• Maintain employee records and HRIS data.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian Employment Act, EPF, PERKESO/SOCSO, EIS, HRD
Corp and immigration documentation.
• Prepare recruitment and onboarding reports.
5. Employer Branding
• Represent our client at career fairs and university recruiting events.
• Promote the company's values, Code of Conduct and employment brand.
6. Key Performance Indicator
• Time-to-fill.
• Offer acceptance rate.
• Recruitment cost.
• Probation completion rate.
• New hire retention (12 months).
• Candidate satisfaction.
