Rooftop Energy Tech Sdn Bhd is hiring an HR Lead to oversee the HR function across both Rooftop Energy and Dynasynergy Technology Sdn Bhd.
This is a group HR role reporting directly to the CEO, leading a team of two covering People Operations and Talent Acquisition. You will have high autonomy to build and improve HR processes, policies, and programmes across both companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the HR function across both companies
- Set direction and priorities for the HR team covering recruitment, payroll, statutory contributions, claims, leave, and onboarding
- Build and formalise HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, performance reviews, policies, and employee handbook
- Oversee compensation and benefits, payroll, and statutory compliance (LHDN, KWSP, PERKESO, HRDF)
- Drive recruitment strategy and support hiring across multiple roles
- Partner with hiring managers to improve hiring quality and speed
- Lead employee relations, learning and development, and company culture initiatives
RequirementsMust Have
- At least 4-6 years of solid generalist HR experience across recruitment, payroll and statutory, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and policy
- Experience designing and rolling out HR processes from scratch, not only maintaining existing systems
- Working knowledge of Malaysian employment law and statutory obligations (LHDN, KWSP, PERKESO, HRDF)
- Experience leading or mentoring a small team
- Comfortable operating independently in a startup environment
- Strong written and spoken English; Bahasa Malaysia is a plus
Good to Have
- Experience as the first or sole senior HR hire in a growing company
- Exposure to project-based or industrial businesses (EPC, construction, energy, manufacturing, technology)
- Experience building an employee handbook, performance review cycle, or compensation framework from scratch
- Google Workspace fluency and familiarity with HR systems and trackers
