Job Description

We are seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented HR Assistant (Policies, Reporting & Analytics) to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between HR strategy, compliance, and data. You will be responsible for designing, updating, and enforcing company-wide HR policies while transforming raw workforce data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate loves numbers just as much as they value people, ensuring our workplace remains compliant, efficient, and forward-thinking.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Policy & Compliance Management

  • Design & Update: Develop, review, and maintain the company's Employee Handbook, HR policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Compliance Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal labor laws to ensure all company policies remain legally compliant.
  • Consultation: Serve as the subject matter expert for management and employees regarding policy interpretation and application.
  • Audit Readiness: Conduct regular internal audits of HR practices and files to mitigate legal and operational risks.

2. HR Reporting & Data Analytics

  • Dashboard Creation: Build, maintain, and optimize HR dashboards and automated reports to track key workforce metrics.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze HR data (e.g., turnover rates, time-to-hire, diversity metrics, headcount, and employee engagement) to identify trends and anomalies.
  • Predictive Insights: Translate complex data points into clear, actionable stories and recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Data Integrity: Regularly audit the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and security.

3. Strategic Support

  • Survey Administration: Manage the deployment and analysis of annual engagement and pulse surveys.
  • Benchmarking: Conduct external benchmarking studies on HR best practices, compensation, and benefits to keep the company competitive.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in HR, with a dedicated focus on HR policy drafting and/or HR data analytics.

Technical Skills

  • HRIS Expertise: Proficiency with HR Information Systems (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, SAP SuccessFactors, or ADP).
  • Data Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, formulas) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Labor Law: Strong knowledge of employment legislation and regulatory compliance.

Soft Skills

  • Analytical Thinking: Exceptional ability to spot patterns in data and solve complex problems.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for writing clear policies and presenting data to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Discretion: Absolute integrity and capability to handle highly confidential and sensitive employee data.
