HR Director
Location: Rawang, Selangor
Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on HR Director to lead the full spectrum of human resources functions and serve as a trusted partner to senior management. This role plays a critical part in shaping people strategy, strengthening organizational capability, and ensuring HR excellence across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for end-to-end HR functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding, payroll, compensation & benefits, performance management, employee relations, and HR compliance.
- Lead and independently manage full-cycle recruitment for critical and senior roles (e.g. Senior Sales Executive, Regional Manager), from workforce planning and sourcing through offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Design and implement effective talent acquisition and retention strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
- Partner closely with business leaders and HQ HR Business Partners to translate corporate HR strategies into local execution, ensuring consistency in policies, processes, and governance.
- Act as a key advisor to management on employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and workforce engagement.
- Oversee compensation and benefits frameworks, conduct market benchmarking, and recommend enhancements to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
- Drive and continuously improve the performance management framework, ensuring clear goal-setting, regular reviews, and leadership accountability.
- Ensure full compliance with local labor laws and regulations; oversee updates to the Employee Handbook and internal HR policies as required.
- Build, lead, and develop the HR team, fostering a high-performance, service-oriented HR function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 810 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership exposure across multiple HR functions.
- Strong knowledge of local labor laws, HR governance, and best practices.
- Proven ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a growing organization.
- Experience working with HRIS systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively partnering with regional or HQ stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Mandarin to communicate with counterparts in China is required.
