Job Description

OB PURPOSE

To provide interns with practical, hands-on exposure to both Human Resource or Finance functions, including day-to-day operational activities. This role aims to develop foundational corporate skills, enhance understanding of business operations, and support overall team efficiency and effectiveness.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

HUMAN RESOURCE INTERN:

  • Support day-to-day HR administrative functions, including employee documentation and record-keeping.
  • Assist in talent acquisition activities and recruitment processes.
  • Ensure employee records are accurate and up to date by regularly updating personnel files.
  • Administer leave and claims processes through the Talent Cloud platform, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Support People & Culture initiatives that contribute to operational excellence, culture transformation, and overall team success.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of employee engagement activities and events, including providing logistical and administrative support for smooth implementation.
  • Collaborate with various People & Culture functions to support cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to improve team effectiveness and enhance internal HR processes.
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the People & Culture team.

FINANCE INTERN:

  • Support the day-to-day Finance Operations side of the business (assisting on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger functions).
  • Ensure responsibility of accountancy and financial administration working closely with various stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Assisting in bank reconciliation for cash flow management and planning.
  • Follow up on timeliness to update daily, weekly and monthly standardized reports templates, analyzing volume and value sales, collection update and etc. for presentation purpose.
  • Providing daily support on all outstanding queries from the regional offices and customers as and when required.
  • Ad hoc accounting duties

JOB SPECIFICATION

MINIMUM ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to the HR or Finance function.
