Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  1. Oversee all HR operations in Malaysia, directly managing and guiding the existing team to allocate tasks effectively and improve overall team delivery efficiency.
  2. Develop and execute local recruitment plans in Malaysia based on business development needs, with a focus on talent acquisition for R&D, sales, and functional positions.
  3. Develop and manage local recruitment channels (e.g., JobStreet, LinkedIn, headhunters, and university partnerships) to enhance recruitment efficiency and optimize candidate experience. Responsible for the interview assessment, salary negotiation, and onboarding process for key positions.
  4. Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, confirmation, transfer, and exit processes. Handle employee inquiries and labor disputes, fostering a positive and healthy team atmosphere to boost employee satisfaction.
  5. Visa/Work Permit Processing: Responsible for the application, renewal, and cancellation of work passes (EP / WP / DP) for foreign employees, especially Chinese nationals, ensuring all procedures comply with the regulations of the Malaysian Immigration Department and the Ministry of Human Resources.
  6. Labor Law Compliance & Social Security Liaison: Possess in-depth knowledge of the Malaysian Employment Act 1955 to ensure company HR policies are compliant. Maintain effective communication with local social security agencies (PERKESO, KWSP, HRDF, etc.) and complete filings and contributions on time.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree or above with a minimum of 3 years of comprehensive, hands-on HR experience in Malaysia. Experience in the electronics technology, semiconductor, consumer electronics, or manufacturing industries is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of team management experience, with the ability to effectively guide subordinates to achieve work objectives.
  3. Proficient in Malaysian labor laws and related employment regulations, capable of independently handling employee relations and preventing labor risks. Familiar with the application procedures and details for various Malaysian work passes (especially for Chinese nationals).
  4. Practical experience liaising with local social security and government agencies (PERKESO, KWSP, LHDN, etc.).
  5. Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) with excellent listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Must also be able to use English or Malay as a working language to communicate with local teams and government departments.
  6. Possess strong self-motivation, a proactive attitude, and high resilience to stress. Adept at handling cross-cultural communication.
