Role Purpose
We are looking for a detail-oriented HR Specialist to support the delivery of our HR Services . This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll operations, deliver HR services, enhance employee experience, and ensure compliance with policies and statutory regulations. Beyond processing, the HR Specialist will contribute to client support, ensuring payroll and advices are delivered as a strategic value-add service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll Processing & Service Delivery
- Manage the end-to-end payroll cycle for employees and contractors under EOR, Staffing, and Payroll Outsourcing.
- Ensure accuracy in calculating basic salary, allowances, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and statutory contributions.
- Generate and distribute payslips, payroll registers, and reconciliation reports for internal management and client review.
- Deliver payroll services in line with Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) and client-specific requirements.
2. Payroll Solution Implementation & Client Support
- Support the setup and onboarding of new payroll clients, including requirements gathering, payroll system configuration, and parallel runs.
- Act as a payroll subject-matter expert (SME), advising clients on US payroll regulations, statutory obligations, and best practices.
- Provide first-line support for payroll-related queries from employees, contractors, and clients.
3. Statutory Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure full compliance with US statutory requirements
4. Human Resources
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee and contractor records (onboarding and offboarding)
- Employee Relations: Handle queries, provide support, employee discipline, performance improvement, separations, terminations and general employee management.
- Admin: Maintain employee records, process paperwork, and ensure compliance within local, state and federal laws.
- Assist the HR Service Manager
- Employee handbooks, recruiting, pre-employment screening, performance management, compensation/wage surveys, online training and other HR product offerings as assigned
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 24 years experience in HR practicing experience in USA or Canada
- Good knowledge of US or Canda payroll statutory requirements
- Hands-on experience with ADP or other payroll systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- High level of numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with employeesand clients.
- Bilingual requirement: English and Mandarin - Communicate with Chinese clients
- Ability to multi-task and produce results under tight deadlines
- Capable of working independently without constant supervision
