Company Description Alam Dingin (AD) is a reputable Malaysian company specializing in comprehensive Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) solutions for the oil, gas, and energy sectors. AD provides end-to-end services covering HVAC system design and fabrication, installation and commissioning, control systems and instrumentation, programmable logic control, and smart AIoT and big data solutions. The company also delivers operation and maintenance services for HVAC systems, supporting long-term performance and reliability. As part of its sustainability commitment, AD developed the Sonneaire Hybrid Air Conditioning system through R&D collaboration with a local Malaysian university, serving commercial and residential markets. AD follows recognized industry codes and standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, AMCA, and the International Mechanical Code and is certified to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.

Role Description The HVACR Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Terengganu, Malaysia, responsible for overseeing day-to-day HVACR installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance activities. This role leads and coordinates technician teams, assigns tasks, monitors work progress, and ensures that all HVACR systems are installed, serviced, and repaired according to project specifications, safety requirements, and industry standards. The HVACR Supervisor reviews technical drawings and documentation, troubleshoots system issues, verifies system performance, and supports preventive and corrective maintenance plans. The position also involves collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients, preparing basic reports and documentation, and supporting continuous improvement in quality, energy efficiency, and reliability of HVACR systems. The HVACR Supervisor is expected to maintain a safe work environment, uphold company procedures, and support training and mentoring of junior team members.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated technical expertise in HVACR systems, including installation, commissioning, diagnostics, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Experience interpreting HVACR drawings, schematics, and technical documentation, and applying relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA, AMCA, International Mechanical Code).
  • Proficiency in supervising field teams, coordinating schedules and workloads, and monitoring work quality and safety compliance on-site.
  • Ability to work with control systems, instrumentation, and basic programmable logic controllers (PLC), with familiarity in modern building automation or AIoT-based monitoring considered an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues in HVACR systems under time and resource constraints.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with technicians, engineers, contractors, and clients, and for preparing clear service and project reports.
