Job Description

Job Title: ICT Business Development Manager

Role Summary

The ICT Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth of the ICT division by identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and securing strategic partnerships. The role requires strong knowledge of fast-moving ICT products, including computer hardware, peripherals, and service-based solutions. The successful candidate will be a tech-savvy sales professional with strong business acumen, capable of delivering compelling value propositions and building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales Expansion

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across government and private sectors.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for ICT hardware, peripherals, and maintenance/service contracts.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and lead follow-ups.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive business proposals, quotations, and presentations tailored to client requirements.

Account & Relationship Management

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients and partners to drive repeat and upsell business.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend customized ICT solutions aligned with company offerings.
  • Monitor after-sales service levels and ensure high client satisfaction through regular engagement.

Partnership & Channel Development

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard potential partners such as OEMs, vendors, and resellers.
  • Negotiate partnership terms that are commercially viable and strategically aligned.
  • Coordinate with technical and operations teams to develop bundled or joint ICT offerings.

Market Intelligence & Product Knowledge

  • Stay current with ICT market trends, particularly fast-moving products such as laptops, servers, printers, accessories, and networking solutions.
  • Provide market and competitor insights to management to support business strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to support product launches and promotional campaigns.

Tender & Proposal Coordination

  • Participate in government and private sector tenders involving ICT equipment and services.
  • Coordinate with internal tender teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant bid submissions.

Key Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, ICT, Marketing, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 57 years of experience in ICT sales, business development, or key account management.
  • Proven track record in:
  • Selling fast-moving ICT products (e.g., desktops, laptops, printers, networking equipment).
  • Managing service and maintenance contracts.
  • Winning new business through proactive outreach and pitching.
  • Building and managing strategic partnerships and reseller networks.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and ICT sales tools.
  • Ability to understand technical products and translate them into clear business value propositions.
