Business Unit Introduction

Interactive Entertainment Group (IEG)

Responsible for the R&D, operation, and development of the company's interactive entertainment business including games and eSports. Through online gaming, live broadcasts, and offline eSports, IEG assists the company in leading the global interactive entertainment market to create better interactive entertainment content experiences for users

Job Description:

  • Responsible for developing and executing localized marketing strategies for PUBG MOBILE in the Malaysia market. In alignment with business objectives, product version cadence, and regional strategies, drive the efficient execution of key marketing initiatives.
  • Based on market insights and player needs in Malaysia, develop integrated marketing plans, define target audiences, key messaging, content direction, and channel strategies to enhance brand influence and user engagement.
  • Oversee creative assets, social media, media buying, PR communications, KOL/KOC partnerships, community operations, and offline events. Build a complete end-to-end workflow from strategy development and campaign execution to performance review, while continuously optimizing marketing effectiveness.
  • Develop deep insights into the Malaysia mobile gaming market, player culture, platform trends, and competitor dynamics. Leverage community feedback, user research, and data analysis to generate localized market insights and operational recommendations that support version launches and long-term user growth.
  • Develop communication rhythms and content strategies around product updates, seasonal milestones, festive campaigns, and brand partnership initiatives, tailored to Malaysia's multilingual and multicultural player ecosystem, in order to improve reach efficiency and strengthen brand affinity across different player segments.
  • Integrate local resources across media, creators, universities, commercial districts, brands, and offline channels to drive the execution of fully integrated online-to-offline marketing initiatives, while building reusable localized marketing methodologies for the Malaysia market.
  • Collaborate efficiently with regional teams, operations, publishing, esports, design, agencies, and external partners to ensure smooth cross-functional execution and successful delivery of project goals.

Requirements:

  • Candidates with a local Malaysia market background are preferred, with strong familiarity with Malaysian culture, social media ecosystems, player behavior, and the local communications landscape.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in the gaming industry. Candidates with experience in marketing, game publishing, brand communications, user growth, community operations, or game operations are preferred. Experience in mobile games, competitive game titles, or Southeast Asian markets is a plus.
  • Passionate about the internet and gaming industries, with a strong understanding of the player ecosystem and content consumption behavior of shooter / tactical competitive mobile games. Solid understanding of version-based marketing, player communities, esports content, and localized communications is preferred.
  • Familiar with major social media and content platforms in Malaysia, including but not limited to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Discord. Experience in content marketing, KOL partnerships, or community operations is a plus.
  • Strong project management, communication, collaboration, and resource integration skills, with the ability to efficiently drive complex projects across teams, cultures, and time zones.
