Job Description

The Country Manager – Indonesian is responsible for leading the overall market strategy, growth, and operations of the Indonesia business. This role owns market performance across acquisition, retention, CRM, partnerships, and local operations while ensuring alignment with regional and global direction.

The Country Manager will act as the primary owner of Indonesia market results — driving revenue growth, strengthening player retention, ensuring smooth local execution, and identifying opportunities and risks within the market.

This is a leadership and execution role requiring strong commercial awareness, deep understanding of Indonesian player behavior, and the ability to coordinate across marketing, product, payments, and operations.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Market Ownership & Growth Strategy (Primary Responsibility)

Own Indonesia market performance including:

  • Revenue and active player growth
  • FTD and acquisition performance
  • Retention and player value
  • Overall market competitiveness

Develop and execute local market strategy aligned with regional direction:

  • Acquisition and brand growth
  • Retention and CRM strategy
  • Competitive positioning
  • Campaign and promotional calendar

Continuously monitor Indonesia market trends, competitor activity, and player behavior to refine strategy.

2. Acquisition & Marketing Leadership

Oversee execution of all Indonesia acquisition channels and work closely with Central Acquisition team:

  • Affiliates and media buying
  • Influencers/KOLs and community channels
  • Social media and digital campaigns
  • Strategic partnerships and local activations

Work closely with regional marketing and creative teams to:

  • Localize campaigns effectively
  • Ensure strong conversion performance
  • Optimize marketing spend and ROI

3. Retention, CRM & Player Value

Work with central CRM and retention teams to drive:

  • Deposit frequency and repeat behavior
  • VIP and high-value player retention
  • Reactivation of inactive players
  • Localized promotions and lifecycle campaigns

Ensure Indonesia-specific player behavior is reflected in:

  • Bonus strategy
  • Communication tone
  • Campaign timing and offers

4. Payments, Product & Operations Alignment

Act as Indonesia market representative across:

  • Payments/PSPs
  • Product and platform
  • Customer support
  • Operations

Flag and escalate issues impacting:

  • Deposits and withdrawals
  • Conversion and user experience
  • Player complaints or churn drivers

5. Partnerships & Local Network Development

Build and maintain strong local relationships with:

  • Affiliates and media partners
  • Influencers/KOLs
  • Community groups
  • Vendors and agencies

Identify strategic partnership opportunities to grow brand presence and trust in Indonesia.

6. Team Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with regional teams and prepare weekly and monthly Indonesia market reports covering:

  • Performance metrics
  • Key issues and risks
  • Opportunities and recommendations
  • Competitor updates

Ensure clear communication between the Indonesia market and regional leadership.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Min 5+ years experience in iGaming, digital marketing, or country market management.
  • Strong understanding of Indonesia iGaming or online betting landscape.
  • Proven experience in acquisition, retention, or market growth.
  • Strong commercial and performance-driven mindset.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders across regions.
  • Fluent in Indonesian and good English communication.

Strong Advantage:

  • Experience as Country Manager, Market Lead, or Senior Marketing Manager.
  • Strong network within Indonesia affiliate/KOL/community ecosystem.
  • Understanding of local payment behavior and player lifecycle.
