Job Description
- Analyse production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in areas such as workflow, material handling, layout, and material handling vehicle utilisation
- Conduct time and motion studies, develop standard operating procedures, and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collect and analyse data to measure and improve key performance indicators (KPIs)

- Provide technical guidance and support to production teams to ensure optimal equipment utilisation and process efficiency
- Participate in the development and implementation of new products and technologies, ensuring alignment with operational capabilities
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental regulations throughout all manufacturing operations
- Conduct root cause analysis on production inefficiencies and develop corrective action plans with measurable outcomes
- Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation on process improvements, cost savings, and performance metrics for senior management review
- Benchmark production processes against industry standards and best practices to identify competitive advantages
- Train and mentor production staff on new procedures, lean methodologies, and operational best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making
- Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and process optimisation techniques
- Proficiency in process mapping and data analysis software (e.g. Excel, Power Point, AutoCAD, Visio, SAP, VSM)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Six Sigma certification is preferred
