Industrial Engineer

A newly established medical device manufacturer looking for an Industrial Engineer!

My client is a growing manufacturing organisation currently undertaking significant operational expansion and infrastructure development. As part of its growth strategy, they are now investing in new production capabilities, advanced technologies, and facility enhancement initiatives and looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer to join their team in Johor. In this role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between manufacturing operations and facility development activities, working closely with engineering, operations, quality, and project teams to ensure operational requirements are fully integrated into site expansion and fit-out projects.

Your new role

• Develop and optimise manufacturing layouts, workflows, and production processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  
  
• Coordinate site fit-out, equipment installation, commissioning, and operational readiness activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  
  
• Review facility designs, equipment placement, utilities, and infrastructure plans to support operational requirements.
  
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  
• Monitor project milestones, manage risks, and support successful facility start-up and production ramp-up activities.
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  
• Proven experience in industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  
• Exposure to facility expansion, site fit-out, equipment installation, or commissioning projects.
  
• Knowledge of facility layout design, capacity planning, process optimisation, and project coordination.
  
• Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work across multiple functions.
