Job Summary
Industrial Eng Tech II will support the Industrial Engineering Department in planning, designing, implementing and managing; integrated, production and service delivery systems that assure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence and cost control within the production site. Main focus will be assisting the IE in maintaining the layouts and data in IE related systems.
Core
- Assist IE engineers with raising Coupa requisitions.
- Ensure production tooling, processing equipment, and workstations are available and maintained.
- Assist in layout, workstation, and conveyor moves and setup activities.
- Assist in preparing time/cost estimates for proposed projects.
- Support IE engineers during meetings with suppliers/vendors and provide required technical details.
- Recommend methods to improve throughput, efficiency, and reduce waste through lean processes.
- Ensure and help maintain excellent 5S housekeeping.
- Perform periodic PM on standard and non-standard trolleys used in manufacturing.
- Assist in conducting cycle time studies.
- Assist in collecting purchased items from the receiving area.
- Support other departments that require technical assistance.
- Perform data analysis from various datasets to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support improvement projects for UPH, cycle time, and productivity enhancement.
Requirements
- Diploma / Certificate in an Engineering Field OR minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Open location based at Penang (Bayan Lepas and Batu Kawan)
