Job Description

Job Summary

The Sales Manager – UPS & Medium Voltage Drives is responsible for driving revenue

growth, market penetration, and strategic account development for UPS systems

and Medium Voltage Drive solutions across targeted industries such as data centers,

utilities, oil & gas, manufacturing, infrastructure, and critical facilities.

The role combines technical solution selling, key account management, and channel/partner

engagement to achieve annual sales and margin targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

• Own and achieve annual sales, order intake, and margin targets for UPS and

MVD portfolios within the assigned territory or accounts

• Develop and execute country and key‑account sales plans aligned with

business strategy.

• Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities with end users,

consultants, EPCs, system integrators, and OEMs.

• Actively manage long and complex project sales cycles, including tenders, RFQs,

and negotiated contracts.

• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline and rolling forecast using CRM tools.

2. Key Account & Channel Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key end users, including utilities,

industrial plants, data centers, and large commercial customers.

• Engage closely with consultants, EPC contractors, system integrators, and

panel builders to influence specifications and design decisions.

• Develop and manage local distributors and channel partners where applicable

to expand market reach.

• Drive repeat business, installed‑base upgrades, and lifecycle opportunities

(retrofit, expansion, replacement).

3. Technical & Solution Selling

• Provide technical sales leadership for UPS (single‑phase, three‑phase, battery

technologies) and Medium Voltage Drives (VFDs, MV motors & drives).

• Lead technical discussions, product presentations, and solution workshops with

customers engineering and management teams.

• Support preparation of technical proposals, compliance matrices, and

commercial offers in collaboration with application and engineering teams.

4. Market Intelligence & Strategy

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in

UPS, power quality, and MV drives.

• Identify opportunities for cross‑selling and portfolio expansion across power

and automation solutions.

• Provide structured market feedback to management on product positioning,

gaps, and localization needs.

• Support marketing activities including seminars, exhibitions, and customer

events.

5. Internal Collaboration & Governance

• Work closely with engineering, project management, service, and finance

teams to ensure accurate costing, risk management, and successful project

handover.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, tender governance, and ethical sales

practices.

• Specification wins and project conversion rate

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Power Engineering, or related

technical discipline (preferred).

• Business or commercial qualifications are an added advantage.

Experience

• 5–10+ years of relevant sales experience in UPS, power quality, medium voltage

drives, or industrial electrical solutions.

• Proven track record in solution‑based B2B sales and managing complex project

sales cycles.

• Established network with end users, consultants, EPCs, and system

integrators in target industries.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical understanding of UPS systems and MV drives applications.

• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a matrix organization.

• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.
