Job Description

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate smart factory automation initiatives within our semiconductor manufacturing operations.

This role combines strong IT project management expertise with hands-on experience in semiconductor environments. You will drive cross-functional programs that integrate MES, automation, and digital manufacturing technologies to improve factory efficiency, reliability, and operational performance.

You will work closely with engineering, operations, and IT teams to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative automation solutions that support our smart factory transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end project management for smart factory automation initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Track milestones, manage dependencies, and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, IT, and external vendors to deliver automation and digital solutions.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Coordinate global and local teams to ensure alignment and standardization.

System & Automation Integration

  • Manage integration across manufacturing systems including:
  • MES
  • SFI
  • Equipment Integration (EI)
  • Scheduling systems
  • Factory Automation platforms
  • Ensure IT infrastructure aligns with manufacturing goals, including:
  • Data acquisition
  • System connectivity
  • Analytics
  • Predictive maintenance

Continuous Improvement & Governance

  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in automation processes and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, cybersecurity protocols, and data governance policies.
  • Promote best practices in project governance, documentation, and change management.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of IT project management experience
  • At least 3 years within semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and factory operations

Certifications

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred

  • Structured problem-solving and risk management capabilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, technical manufacturing environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with smart factory technologies (MES, AMHS, automation applications)
  • Familiarity with MES platforms such as Siemens Camstar, Applied Materials FAB300, or similar
  • Experience with data integration technologies (OPC UA, MQTT, REST APIs)
  • Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity best practices
  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience is a plus
