Job Description
Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with hands-on AWS experience to support the build and implementation of a cloud Landing Zone and related infrastructure components. The role includes some involvement in reviewing high-level designs, and largely executing the build, functional testing, documenting the solution, and knowledge transfer (KT) to client teams.
Review solution and infrastructure design inputs and identify implementation gaps or feasibility concerns
Provide input into configuration-level decisions aligned with established architecture and security guidelines
Implement and configure AWS infrastructure components as defined in the solution architecture, including (non exhaustive):
AWS Control Tower, Organizations, and SCPs
IAM roles, SSO setup, permission boundaries, and cross-account roles
EC2 instances, EBS volumes, AMI management
S3 buckets with lifecycle rules, encryption, and access controls
CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Config, Security Hub, GuardDuty
AWS Backup, KMS, and Secrets Manager for data protection
Perform functional and integration testing to validate access, logging, backup, security, and compliance controls
Execute post-build validation and support initial stabilization activities
Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all implemented configurations and operational procedures
Conduct structured knowledge transfer (KT) and walkthroughs with the client's cloud or operations teams
Apply consistent naming standards, tagging, and resource policies for audit and governance compliance
35 years of hands-on experience in AWS infrastructure build and support
Proficiency with core AWS services, including:
Control Tower, Organizations, IAM, SSO, STS, SCPs
EC2, EBS, S3, KMS, Secrets Manager, AWS Backup
CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Config, Security Hub, GuardDuty
Experience following infrastructure build playbooks and delivering to security and compliance requirements
Ability to provide limited design validation and configuration guidance during implementation
Strong documentation skills and experience conducting client-facing knowledge transfer
AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate, SysOps Administrator)
Familiarity with project-based work in regulated or enterprise-scale environments
