Role Purpose
Infra Engineer (IE) is responsible for management of the information of NUR's 132kV, 33kV, 11kV and LV network. IE will manage all information of infra network and asset including the third-party asset in Kulim Hi Tech Park. IE reports to Engineering Manager and coordinate with Network Planning Manager, Maintenance Manager and Operation Manager on any requirement that arises.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all info of Utility Infra within KHTP.
- Establish the network requirement for NUR's substations connections, customer energy connections, cable relocations/diversion, Request for Network Info by third party(s).
- Establish a detailed cable and HDD work plan together with the appointed contractor to illustrate and coordinate the vendors scope of work, commissioning work steps, manpower arrangement, reasoning the work period, resource allocation, etc.
- Manage UiDA mapping progress and to support UiDA permit approval process.
- To attend and participate in the underground mapping process for GPS and GPR records, in-situ utilities sonde test and any other detection work.
- Plan & manage HDD contractor work scope, manpower arrangement and work discipline.
- Manage, review and verify all submitted layout mapping by checking drawing integrity against underground records, As Built data, and on-site test results. All verification must comply with NUR's official procedures.
- Manage, review and verify all HDD cross section profile drawing and cross check the other utilities information for records integrity and matching, in accordance with NUR's procedures.
- Jointly review the method statement for cable and HDD work and highlight the safety risk mitigation.
- Study and evaluate all HDD check/test point according to the designated set point. Act as a formal witness for record sign-offs and recommend the resubmission of any ambiguous or non-compliant results.
- Ensure/Witness the HDD works be carried out according to the approved HDD work plan. Ensure the HDD work to follow the approved work plan and NUR's procedures. Issue Stop-Work order if necessary.
- Evaluate contractor site work safety performance.
- Any other responsibilities that may be required, in the interests of the Company from time to time.
Qualification and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Project Management or related field.
- At Least 5 years of relevant working experience in Horizontal Direct Drill
- At Least 5 years of working experience in liaison with various authorities, gas/electricity/water/telco utility companies.
