Job Summary:
Talentbank is seeking a highly motivated and forward thinking Innovation Manager to spearhead the incubation of new projects within our organization. As an Innovation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving creativity, fostering a culture of innovation, and transforming ideas into tangible solutions that meet market needs and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
- Project Incubation: Lead the end-to-end process of incubating new projects, from ideation to execution, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and market demands.
- Idea Generation: Foster a creative environment conducive to generating innovative ideas through brainstorming sessions, hackathons, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential areas for innovation.
- Feasibility Assessment: Evaluate the feasibility of proposed projects, considering factors such as market demand, technical feasibility, resource requirements, and potential risks.
- Prototype Development: Oversee the development of prototypes or minimum viable products (MVPs) to validate concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders and target users.
- Project Management: Define project scopes, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, sales, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of new projects into existing workflows and processes.
- Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress and success of incubated projects, and provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
- Innovation Culture: Champion a culture of innovation within the organization by promoting creativity, risk-taking, and continuous learning, and recognizing and rewarding innovative contributions.
- External Partnerships: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with external stakeholders, including startups, research institutions, and industry experts, to enhance the innovation ecosystem and access new opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, technology, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
- At least 5 years experience with a proven track record of successfully incubating and launching innovative projects or products, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and prioritize initiatives based on their potential impact and strategic alignment.
- Experience in project management methodologies and tools, with a focus on agile and iterative development processes.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and decision-making, and the ability to leverage insights to drive business outcomes.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for innovation and a willingness to challenge the status quo and explore new ideas and technologies.
