Job Description

About the Role

The Insights Analyst supports the Insights Manager in delivering customer, market, brand, and store-level insights that help the business make better decisions. The role combines market research, customer analytics, secondary research and competitor review data into clear, actionable recommendations for business functions.

Key Responsibilities

1.Market Research & Project Management Support

  • Support the Insights Manager in managing end-to-end research projects, including quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Assist in research design, project planning, timelines, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Prepare research materials such as questionnaires, discussion guides, stimulus materials, fieldwork briefing notes, and debriefing materials.
  • Liaise with external research agencies to ensure quality delivery, timely fieldwork, accurate data, and clear reporting.

2.Customer, Shopper & Behavioral Insights

  • Analyze customer feedback, shopper behavior, and business data to identify key insights, opportunities, and pain points.
  • Customer satisfaction, NPS, awareness, perception, and post-launch/relaunch feedback.
  • Store-level customer behavior and visit patterns.
  • Member/customer survey analysis and interpretation.
  • Identification of customer needs, expectation gaps, and improvement opportunities.

3.Store Launch, Relaunch & Local Market Insights

  • Support insights work for new store openings, relaunches, and local market reviews.
  • Analyze post-launch and post-relaunch customer feedback.
  • Review Google Business Reviews, customer comments, survey verbatims, and competitor feedback.
  • Prepare local catchment and competitor landscape summaries.
  • Identify key customer groups, store roles, local opportunities, and communication implications.

4. Brand, Campaign & Communication Insights

  • Support insights work related to brand, campaign evaluation, and communication effectiveness.
  • Responsibilities include: Assist in analyzing brand research on NPS and customer perception.
  • Support evaluation of marketing campaigns, relaunch communication, and customer awareness.
  • Identify whether communication is reaching the right customer segments.
  • Help translate customer insights into practical implications for brand, content and in-store communication.

5.Secondary Research, Market & Competitor Intelligence

  • Conduct desktop research to support business questions and strategic projects.
  • This may include: Competitor landscape review, Market trend scanning, Retail category and shopper trend summaries.
  • Public data, population, ethnicity, catchment, and demographic review.
  • Google review analysis and other publicly available customer feedback sources.

6.Data Analysis, Reporting & Dashboard Support

  • Support regular and ad hoc analysis using internal and external data sources.
  • Clean, organize, and prepare datasets for analysis.
  • Support dashboard preparation and recurring reporting.
  • Prepare charts, tables, summaries, and analytical outputs in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and proper documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree in Business / Marketing / Mathematics / Statistic / psychology or other relevant backgrounds.
  • Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Able to clean, organize, and analyze data.
  • Able to prepare charts, tables, and clear summaries.
  • Comfortable working with survey data and customer feedback.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
