Job Description

Alcon is looking to hire an Inspector to join our QA Operations team at Johor in Malaysia, who will be responsible for in process and final product quality analyses/inspection in compliance with standards and regulatory requirements. It also requires candidate to interpret and evaluate the analyses in terms of accuracy and precision compared against established specifications. Candidate needs to identify on-going quality issues, prevents potential production issues, and makes suggestions for improvement and know how to use various measuring devices, testing equipment, predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to accept or reject products. May work from blueprints, diagram, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection/testing and documentation review per the assigned job position.
  • Ensure line clearance is properly performed according to SOP prior to starting Production Order
  • Check the completeness and accuracy of documents before and after processing each Production Order.
  • Ensure the Good Documentation Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices are followed and enforced.
  • Report any discrepancy documents and quality issue to the superior for further instruction/ action.
  • To maintain the work place clean and practice proper housekeeping.
  • Adherence to Alcon Values & Behaviors, observe and ensure full compliance with Alcon Code of Business Conducts.
  • To observe and ensure full compliance with Alcon Health Safety and Environment Standards.
  • Where necessary, to perform any other jobs assigned by the superior.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum PMR or equivalent
