Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Ensuring employer compliance and adherence to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Act, Rules, and Regulations. The role involves conducting investigations on non-compliance cases, ensuring the accuracy of salary records to determine the correct EPF contributions and assisting legal actions when necessary to protect employees retirement savings and safeguard the rights of EPF members.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Counsel employers to comply with their statutory responsibilities.
  • Conduct field visits and inspections at company premises to verify records and employer compliance.
  • Manage worker's complaint about EPF matters.
  • Conduct recovery of overdue EPF payments.
  • Conduct assessments on employers salary records to verify the accuracy of EPF contributions.
  • Investigate non-compliance cases and take necessary enforcement actions.
  • Prepare investigation reports and supporting documents for legal action against non-compliant employers when required.
  • Collaborate with legal and enforcement teams to initiate civil or criminal proceedings for serious violations.
  • Review, evaluate and analyse data for strategic action.
  • Advise employers on their legal obligations and guide them in rectifying errors in contribution payments.
  • Advise employers on EPF products.
  • Prepare work schedules for visitation and investigation purposes.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • Communication Able to write and communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Having the ability to negotiate and educate employers on compliance requirements.
  • Organised and Detail Oriented - Attention to details is a must, as is multitasking.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies in employer contributions.
  • Ability to assess financial records and detect signs of misreporting or evasion.
  • Decision-making skills in determining the appropriate enforcement action.
  • Time Management Able to ensure the high-priority work is accomplished within required timelines.
  • Teamwork As a team member, the ability and desire to work cooperatively with others on a team.
  • Strong integrity and professionalism in handling confidential employer and employee data.
  • Accountability in ensuring fair and accurate assessments.
  • Ability to work with discipline and efficiency to meet enforcement deadlines.
  • Confidence in conducting inspections, interviews, and legal briefings.
  • Industry Savvy Having an understanding or experience in the industry you are working in.
  • IT literate Able to perform tasks using Word, Excel, PowerPoint & etc.
  • Stakeholder management Able to assist supervisor in handling stakeholder queries.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Possess a valid Malaysian Driver's License.
  • Pass the Bahasa Malaysia, including an oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent as recognised by the Government, with credit in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mathematics.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written Malay and English languages. Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in other language will be value added.
  • Possess a Diploma in economics, business law, public administration, accounting, statistics and mathematics from any recognised University by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a particular ability to communicate complex and/or sensitive information in a clear, concise, diplomatic and professional manner.
  • A sound communicator with excellent presentation, report writing and data analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently yet be a good team player are mandatories.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, efficient in time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication.
  • Exceptional people skills, strong command of both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Efficient in handling issues at the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving as and when necessary.

JOB STATUS

Permanent / Non-Executive
