The Instructional Designer (ID) is responsible for creating structured, learner-centric content based on learning objectives and source materials. This role plays a key part in converting raw content into engaging digital learning experiences using instructional models and tools. The ID collaborates closely with multimedia designers and developers to ensure content delivery is aligned with project goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Instructional Design Development
- Convert content from subject matter experts or client sources into structured learning experiences using models such as ADDIE and Bloom's Taxonomy.
- Develop storyboards, learning scripts, and content outlines that support digital course development.
- Create content in authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise.
Quality Assurance and Revisions
- Review work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with learning objectives.
- Revise materials based on internal or client feedback in a timely manner.
Project Collaboration
- Collaborate with multimedia designers and developers to align instructional content with visual and technical components.
- Participate in team meetings to ensure instructional content fits the overall course design.
Documentation and Standards
- Apply established instructional design templates, frameworks, and quality standards.
- Maintain clear and updated records of content versions and feedback cycles.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience in sales or business development, preferably within the eLearning or technology space.
- Experience in B2B sales is preferred.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage decision-makers.
- Good understanding of, or ability to quickly take up, education technology-related solutions.
- Comfortable using CRM and productivity tools (e.g. Zoho CRM, Miro, ClickUp).
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin is a plus.
