An Approved Financial Adviser (FA) is a company, approved by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), under the Financial Services Act 2013 (FSA), to carry out financial advisory business, analyzing financial planning needs relating to an insurance product, and recommend or arrange a contract in respect of banking products and services. Approved FA are expected to represent clients interest, by providing independent advice and recommendations through multiple product providers. As a Financial Adviser licensed by Bank Negara Malaysia, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Insurance Adviser/Financial Adviser Representative to join our dynamic team and help us continue to exceed client expectations.
**Position Overview:** Financial Adviser's Representative (FAR) means an individual, who is in the direct employment of, acting for or by arrangement with an approved FA who performs for the FA any services relating to financial advisory business. As an Insurance Adviser/Financial Adviser Representative at Qoala Malaysia, you will play a crucial role in guiding clients through the process of selecting and managing their insurance policies. You will leverage your expertise to offer customized solutions, build lasting relationships, and ensure our clients receive the highest level of service.
What will you be doing -
*Leads Generation:* Acquire leads through offline means, participate in business networking events to grow brand presence and market engagements. - *Client Consultation:* Meet with clients to assess their insurance needs and provide expert advice on policy options. - *Product Knowledge:* Stay informed about the latest insurance products, industry trends, and regulatory changes. - *Policy Management:* Assist clients with policy applications, renewals, and modifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- *Relationship Building:* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and providing ongoing support. - *Sales and Marketing:* Promote insurance products and services, identify opportunities for upselling, meet and exceed sales targets. - *Customer Service:* Resolve client inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. -*Compliance:* Ensure adherence to financial advisory regulations, ethical standards & company policies.
What should you have - Malaysian citizen with minimum SPM with 5 passes including Bahasa Melayu or academic based Diploma & above. - Minimum 3 years experience in financial services sales (life/general insurance or investment/capital market/unit trust or banking products/services). - Partial/full Registered Financial Planner (RFP) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and/or Shariah Registered Financial Planner (SRFP) or Islamic Financial Planner (IFP) or plan to have any of these qualifications in the future. Those without will have to partially pass these exams upon onboarding. - Strong interpersonal & communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients & colleagues. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Fluency in both written and spoken English and Malay. Fluency in any third language such as Mandarin or Tamil is an advantage. - Hungry for change and to make a difference in life.
Good to have but not needed - Pre Contract for Life Insurance Agents and/or Investment-Linked Life Insurance Exam (PCIL) and/or Takaful Basic Exam (TBE).
