About The Role
We are looking for a Project Interface Engineer to manage and coordinate interfaces across engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCIC) activities for FPSO/FSO projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring seamless communication, issue resolution, and integration between multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate project interfaces between engineering contractors, shipyards, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain and control the Interface Register, Management of Change (MOC), deviations, and technical queries.
- Ensure effective communication and timely information flow across internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support project planning and contribute to weekly progress and interface reporting.
- Coordinate resolution of interface issues and support timely decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with classification societies and regulatory authorities (e.g. ABS, Flag State, PNG regulatory).
- Support project objectives, schedule milestones, and mechanical completion.
- Promote HSE best practices and ensure QA/QC requirements are followed on site.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in a project interface role, preferably in FSO/FPSO hull conversion projects.
- Experience handling interfaces across multiple disciplines (marine, mechanical, piping, E&I).
- Good understanding of shipyard construction, schedule, and resource planning.
- Knowledge of international shipyard operations is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or equivalent.
