Manage multiple projects under the guidance of the Design Lead, Business Development Team / Project Director.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand requirements, provide design solutions, and convey objectives clearly to the project team.
Establish and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term collaboration.
Work independently and proactively, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills both individually and within a team.
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Possess in-depth knowledge of conceptual design trends, construction methodologies, and the appropriate application of Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E).
Design within project parameters, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality expectations.
Continuously research, learn, and enhance design knowledge and skills, both independently and collaboratively.
Adapt to a paperless work environment and uphold strong sustainability practices.
Ensure high design quality within the project team while mentoring and coaching junior designers to enhance collaboration and skill development.
Ensure compliance with Malaysian building codes and local Building-By-Laws, while effectively executing space planning.
Provide clear and structured project status reports to superiors.
Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to achieve business and project goals.
Oversee quality control for all design document deliverables presented to clients.
Align work with company and department strategies, planning, and targets while fostering a cohesive team environment.
Adhere to department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the company's Integrated Management System (ISO9001, ISO37001, ISO45001, ISO14001).
Education & Experience:
Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited institution.
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
Experience managing the entire project lifecycle.
Proven ability to lead both Design Consultancy and Design & Build projects.
Proven ability and experience in Space Planning and Conceptual Design.
