Interior Designer is responsible for interpreting client needs into conceptual plans, presenting ideas, and coordinating with consultants, suppliers, and clients. Ultimately, you will oversee construction, provide on-site solutions, and specify materials such as lighting, furniture, finishes, and fixtures to ensure design quality and spatial standards are met.
- Interpret, conceptualize, and translate client needs into design plans.
- Propose concept ideas and present them effectively to clients.
- Liaise and coordinate with consultants, suppliers, and clients throughout project phases.
- Assist Senior Interior Designers in meetings and project discussions.
- Oversee construction activities and coordinate closely with site teams.
- Provide practical, on-site solutions to contractors as issues arise.
- Visualize design intent accurately while on-site.
- Specify lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, and plumbing fixtures.
- Produce material samples and mood boards to communicate design direction.
- Apply a strong eye for spatial design in all project stages.
- Demonstrate expertise in layout configurations and space planning.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior and/or the management.
Qualifications
- Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or other equivalent fields
- At least 5 years of interior design experience in infrastructure or building construction, comprising three years of monitoring, reviewing, recommending, and implementing new Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures, plus two years of full-time site experience.
- Detail-oriented with good understanding of interior design principles.
- Knowledge of design trends and styles.
- Space planning skill.
- Ability to articulate and present ideas well and thoroughly.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and BIM.
- Willing to work in Bukit Bintang, KL.
